Heartwood Counseling and Wellness

Remmi Q.

Professional Good Girl &
Heeler of Hearts
she/her
(probably Autistic)

Remmi is our 9-year-old Australian Cattle Dog and has been beloved around the office long before the cartoon Bluey made her name famous—she was popular and cool way before that. These days, Remmi enjoys long naps, plenty of treats, leisurely walks, good scratches, and trips to the dog park. She brings a calming, friendly presence to sessions and never turns down extra affection. As far as her identity as a neuro-spicy canine, we joke that her intense loyalty, extra dose of sensitivity, and preference for routine is top notch.

Authenticity

Studies show that a strong therapeutic relationship is the biggest predictor of a successful counseling outcome. Connections are formed when both parties can be authentic. Bring your awesome self to each session and we will meet you with genuineness.

Comfort

Coming to our office should feel comfortable and safe. Relax and enjoy our quirky, eclectic office vibe while we chat about your life.

professionalism

After seven years of college and thousands of hours of supervised training, you can be sure that we're prepared with a technical approach for the issues you'd like to work through in counseling.

openness

We work best with clients that are open and motivated towards change. If you're feeling stuck and don't know which direction you'd like to go, we can set goals together.
